A word about house concerts:
I love them. They are awesome. What could be better than gathering a bunch of music-loving folks in a room and sharing an evening of storytelling and songs? If you host house concerts and are interested in booking me, let's chat! If you've never hosted a house concert before and want to know more, let's chat! The simplest explanation is that it's a small concert in a private space, like a home, or a backyard, with usually ten or more people. You can keep the invite list private or you can open it up on a limited basis. Usually there's a suggested donation of $15 or $20 per guest, and the the money goes to the performer(s). Sometimes the hosts provide snacks and beverages, but that's completely up to you. You don't need a big house and you don't need a fancy house - all you need is a space where people can come together and enjoy the music.
