A MUSICAL KEYNOTE CONCERT

Eat the Pie!

From Hesitation to Decisive Action

Erin Ash Sullivan delivers keynote talks that blend catchy, earworm-worthy songs with laugh-out-loud stories—all centered on one powerful idea: showing up ready instead of waiting for the “right” moment.

A published author and award-winning songwriter, Erin knows firsthand what it takes to turn ideas into reality. And as a three-time champion of her hometown Fourth of July pie-eating contest, she’s not just talking about taking action—she’s lived it, one bold (and messy) bite at a time.

A Keynote That Works Like a Song

Songs do something a slide deck simply can't: they get past the part of your brain that argues back.

When a message arrives through music and story together, it doesn't feel like advice — it feels like recognition.

"Melodic, fresh, and easygoing, with storytelling prowess on full display…recalling the likes of Joni Mitchell and Joan Baez.”

FEATURED PROGRAM

Eat the Pie:

From Hesitation to Decisive Action

The problem is never a shortage of good ideas. It's the gap between having one and doing something about it.

Eat the Pie is a keynote concert built to close that gap — and it hits problems most groups know intimately:

  • Decision paralysis — When taking the safe path because there's too much at stake makes action feel impossible.
  • The implementation gap — When it feels like there's an impossible distance between a good idea and the courage to actually make it reality.

Through songs and stories, Erin gives your group something concrete to rally around: a shared language, a true story that's genuinely funny, and a shift from What if we fail? to What if we fly?

The program is intelligent, warm, and funny — and by the end, your group will be cheering "Eat the Pie!"

Outcomes: Decisive Action · Creative Courage · Authentic Leadership · Connection

Perfect For: Women's associations and leadership conferences · Professional organizations

Hear “Eat the Pie”

Would I let other people’s shoulds and shouldn’ts riddle me with doubt?
Would I give in to what was safe and let the whole world count me out?

Meet Erin

Erin Ash Sullivan is a Massachusetts-based singer-songwriter with two acclaimed albums and a national Folk DJ chart debut at #4. A graduate of Amherst College with a master's degree in education from Harvard University, she spent years as an educator and school administrator before taking the leap and returning to the music she'd set aside - which means she understands both the message and the audience she's delivering it to.

A New England native, Erin’s music reflects a deep sense of place, and her lyrics - sometimes heartfelt, sometimes funny - are always authentic and drawn from her lived experience, harnessing the power of story to build connection.

"A songwriter of the highest order."
